Seed is very important to farmers. It is what makes everything grow. Dahlsrud Farms sells two kinds of seed; corn seed and hay seed. The farm gets seed from a company called Grand Valley Hybrids.
Grand Valley Hybrids provides many farms and businesses with not only seed products, but also with alfalfa, sileage, microbial products, and much more. The company sells to twelve states located in one of four regions. The four regions include the Snake River region, the Western region, the Plains region, and the Southwestern region. Since Dahlsrud Farms is in Utah, it belongs in the Western region, which also includes western Colorado, Nex Mexico, and Arizona. Andrew provides other farmers and local workers with Grand Valley Hybrids seed, which in his opinion is one of the best, highest quality seed companies. Its corn seed comes in a few varieties, depending on what characteristics you are are looking for in your seed product. The seed is stored in Andrew's father's childhood home. This old farmhouse was the former home for Andrew Christensen Dahlsrud's family while they lived in Salina in the 1900s.
