Alfalfa

Alfalfa is grown at Dahlsrud Farms. It serves as the fmost-produced crop there and is sold all over the state of Utahand other states through hay brokers.

What exactly is alfalfa? Also known as Medicago Sativa, it is grown as a pasture crop to feed to grazing animals. It is full of fiber and trace minerals. It is rich in chlorophyll and contains many important nutrients, such as amino acids, flavonoids, vitamins, and more. Alfalfa also has many medical purposes when it is left as a plant. However, on farms, it is converted into alfalfa hay and used as animal feed.

Alfalfa is cut into hay, which is a grass or legume that has been cut up, dried, and baled. It is used for feeding animals like cows, horses, goats, sheep, and other grazing herbivores.
